Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer also a model, actor and author. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). The daughter of a family of artists located in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. Beginning, she worked as a photographer's assistant. Then, her career shifted to modeling and directing. MacGraw was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained the world to her, as well as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. In just three films MacGraw was named as the top female performer at the box office in history. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were inscribed on the wall at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw got married to three different people.
