Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the United States for the past forty years. Her most well-known role is for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. Then, she appeared on Broadway in a variety of productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. In 1957, she launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. When she was an undergraduate at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Louise joined CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her acting career across Broadway television and Hollywood acting in more realistic roles as opposed to her perception as a glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she has also made a name for herself as a director who has been successful in numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated out of Essex to Toronto and she lived there for childhood and adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and was there ever since.
