Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is her father's daughter Peter Silk, a professor and Ilkay Silk, a playwright and director. She was also known as an actress. Anna is awed by her mother's job as a play director and also attending rehearsals. Silk made several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. The year 1997 was the time she received an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in its initial years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto for acting classes to improve in November of 1999. After a decade, she moved into Los Angeles. She met her future husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's training located in Los Angeles, in 2007.
